Tuition fees and payments

• Fee status criteria is set out in regulations and guidance published by the four countries of the UK. Full criteria and further information can be found via the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) website if you would like to know more or are in doubt about what your fee status might be. Alternatively, if you would like to speak to someone about your status and would like specialist advice, UKCISA operates a telephone support line which you can use.​
• The Study Group admissions team are responsible for assessing a student’s fee status. This will be confirmed during the admissions process, based on information provided during your application and the completed Fee Assessment Form. To ensure that a correct assessment is made, it is important that all information provided to us is true and accurately reflects individual circumstances. Study Group reserve the right to request additional information and documentary evidence that supports the assessment of your fee status. ​
• Documents that may be requested (but are not limited to), include:​​
  • Right of abode stamp​
  • Residence permit​
  • Information about visits to the UK, flight tickets​
  • Utility bills, Council tax bills​
  • Proof of home ownership​
  • Evidence of employment​
  • Marriage/partnership certificates ​
  • + any additional documentation that would support the assessment of your status and residency​
• Study Group’s decision of your fee status is independent of any assessment that may be conducted by other organisations. Therefore, Study Group in conjunction with our university partners, reserve the right to approve a student’s fee status independent of any external body decisions.​
• If during your course, there is a change to your circumstances that affects your fee status, this will not necessarily lead to a change in the fee you are charged. There are very limited circumstances where the International Study Centre (ISC) or university can consider any changes. ​​
• Not all university partners accept home fee paying students progressing from our ISCs, therefore in some cases, you may be supported by our admissions team and redirected to an alternative ISC based on the fee assessment decision. Because of this, it is important that you raise any questions or concerns you have relating to your fee status before you register at the ISC.
