Pre-CAS Readiness Check

As part of your Student visa application, you may be required to attend a credibility interview to ensure that you comply with the UK’s Immigration Rules.

To help you prepare for a UKVI credibility interview and reduce your chances of a visa refusal, our UK Visa and Compliance Team conduct Readiness Checks. If you have been identified as requiring a Readiness Check, then you must attend one before your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) can be issued.

Before completing your interview, we recommend that you look at our Readiness Check guidance to understand what to expect during the interview and ensure you meet all academic and financial requirements. Coming prepared to your first interview and securing your CAS will reduce the time between confirming your place on your course and applying for your visa allowing you to spend more time on getting excited to study abroad.
